L-shell ionization by positron and electron impact

Description
Cross section ratios for L-shell ionization of gold by positron and electron impact have been measured at energies of 35-65 keV. Also PWBA calculations were performed which take electron exchange and the deceleration or acceleration of the incident positron or electron, respectively, in the target nuclear field into account; these calculations are in reasonable agreement with the measurements.
