  • 1. The First People's Hospital of Shunde, Foshan (China)

Description

Objective: To evaluate the ultrasonography in the diagnosis of biliary tract bleeding. Methods: The ab- normal imaging findings of gallbladder in 20 cases after liver trauma were recorded and analyzed, regarding the shape, size, echo intensity and development. Results: The sonographic findings of biliary tract bleeding were classified in three categories: tiny diffuse echoic particles, piled-up iso-echoic lesions and nodular hyper echoic lesions. The abnormal manifestations of hematocele in the gallbladder disappeared in 3 to 9 months after' trauma. Conclusion: Integrated with the history, ultrasound imaging of gallbladder hematocele provides the evidence of biliary tract bleeding and monitors the development of the injury, which is a practical imaging modality.
