Production of QGP in a thermal flux tube model

  • 1. Centre for Theoretical Studies, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore (India)

Description

The process of production and evolution of quark gluon plasma in relativistic heavy ion collisions are studied by two formalisms. One of them is parton cascade model and the other is the qcd flux tube model of Low and Nussinov. The production of the plasma, according to which QQ-bar pairs are produced through the decay of the flux tubes formed between the two receding nuclei due to multiple exchange of soft gluons that occurs in the collision of two relativistic heavy ions are described
