Molybdenum extraction from nitrate-peroxide solutions by trialkylmethylammonium nitrate

  • 1. Moskovskij Inst. Tonkoj Khimicheskoj Tekhnologii (USSR)

Description

Chemical nature of molybdenum extraction in pH2-6 range was studied. It was established that at low molybdenum concentrations up to 5x10-3 mol/l the extraction proceeds according to the equation of simple anion exchange with formation of NR4HMoO6 compound in organic phase. The extractable compound is of (4HMoO6)2H2MoO6 composition at high molybdenum concentrations. The concentration equilibrium constants were determined. They equal 25.52+-1.65 and approximately 4x105 respectively
