Description
With regard to the expected requirement of neutron monitoring with a personnel dosemeter for a selected group of the nuclear power plant staff, a method of determination of dose equivalent H in these fields, based on a track detector, has been developed in UVVVR. For the region of high H values it works as a combined albedo- and fast-neutron dosemeter. In the region of low H values the calibration of the dosemeter is based on the assumption of the representative characterization of the neutron energy distributions in the nuclear power plants. The proposed method is analyzed in detail and a sufficient precision and sensitivity of the system is demonstrated (with the detectability treshold of H∼60 μSv). (author). 3 figs., 1 tab., 8 refs
