Description
In order to understand and model the behaviour of LPG tanks in fires [1] it is necessary to characterize the internal flow and specify its boundary conditions. Tank storage and transport normally utilize horizontal cylinders or spheres and hence the interior fluid sees a variety of surfaces inclinations and heat fluxes. The purpose of this paper is to present results obtained in R11 as a function of heat flux (1-180 kW/m2) and angle (0-80o) at pressures from 1 to 2 bars in the free convective, nucleate and film boiling regions.
