Effect of dipole-dipole and quadrupole-quadrupole forces on properties of giant dipole resonance in 8 Be

The cross-sections of the reaction 8 Be(γ,p)7 Li, 8 Be(γ,p0)7 Li, 8 Be*(E* = 3.04 MeV)(γ,p)7 Li, 8 Be*(E* 3.04 MeV)(γ,p0)7 Li were calculated in the frame of the dynamic semimicroscopic model. The role of the dipole-dipole and quadrupole-quadrupole forces was studied. It was shown that the energy position of the giant resonance is essentially influenced not only by the dipole-dipole but also by the quadrupole-quadrupole forces. 14 refs., 6 figs
