The author describes the effects and health risks of UV exposure. This includes UV effects on the DNS, the eyes, the immune system, and the skin. Finally, recommendations are given for protection against excessive UV exposure on the basis of the IRPA/INIRC guidelines. (orig.)

Abstract (German)

Der Autor beschreibt die Auswirkungen und Gesundheitsrisiken, die mit einer UV-Exposition verbunden sind. Dazu gehoeren UV-Wirkungen auf die DNS, das Auge, das Immunsystem und auf die Haut. Abschliessend werden, basierend auf den Leitlinien der IRPA/INIRC, Empfehlungen zum Schutz gegen eine zu starke UV-Exposition erlaeutert. (orig.)
