Surface localization of the dineutron in 11Li
Description
Nuclei have a many-body system consisting of fermions, such as protons and neutrons. Nuclei exhibit two-particle (neutrons) correlations called dineutrons, which are not found in other Fermi many-body systems. The authors revealed for the first time that in 11Li nuclei two neutrons behave as spatially compact dineutrons only near the surface, and they behave differently in the center of the nuclei and the tail of the neutron halo distributed far away. 原子核には、他のフェルミ多体系には見られないダイニュートロンと呼ばれる2粒子(中性子)相関が発現します。2中性子が11Li原子核の表面付近のみで空間的にコンパクトなダイニュートロンとしての振る舞いを示し、原子核の中心や、遠方に分布する中性子ハローのテイルなどの領域では違った形をとっていることを、実験的に初めて明らかにしました。本稿では受賞の対象となった投稿論文について、実験のエピソードを交えながら解説します。(著者)Additional details
