Decomposition of CdxHg1-xTe solid solution caused by local mechanical disturbances of structure

Description
The results of measurements of the component distribution over CdxHg1-xTe crystal surface (x=0.16) after local mechanical deformations are given. It is shown that mechanical disturbances of CdxHg1-xTe crystal structure lead to local decomposition of the solid solution either during mechanical action or in the successive crystal storage with disturbances under natural conditions
