Effects of principal design parameters on the dynamics and controlled performance of power plant

Description

Some simple but very useful models are developed which enable the effect of power plant design parameters on system response to be easily determined. One describes the effect of load and generation changes on system frequency and stability, and another model describes the effect of control reactivity and turbo-alternator speed or load changes on boiler performance. Solutions to the models are used to define outline design criteria, and a comparison between the simple and a more detailed model is presented to confirm the veracity of these methods
