Description

Nasr and Hasanbeigi in their comment [Phys. Plasmas 17, 093103 (2010)] have claimed that, in our recent paper [Phys. Plasmas 17, 093103 (2010)], incorrect initial conditions have been used based on dispersion relation (or normalized electromagnetic wave frequency ωw) and mean axial velocity βb. We use a self-consistent method to calculate more accurate values of ωw and βb and show that all results presented in our recent paper are correct.
