Influence of hydrogen absorption-desorption cycles on dispersivity of intermetallic compound powders

Description

Distribution of particle by sizes depending on the number of hydrogen absorption-desorption cycles obeys the standard or logarithmically standard law under hydride dispersion of LaNi5, La0.8Ce0.2Ni4.0Cu0.9Ti0.1, TiFe and Ti0.96V0.1Fe0.94 compounds. Comparison of mean statistic particle sizes as the functions of cycle number shows that the dispersion degree of certain composition powder during 100 hydration cycles appears to be a constant value. Dispersion parameters which generally appear to be the functions of the alloy absorption properties, mainly depend on the alloy capacity by hydrogen, determined as H/Me ratio, and on the alloy structural features manifested in the phase composition, grain size etc
