Clinical test of iopamidol (Iopamiron 300) for brain CT

100 ml of Iopamiron 300, a new product of non-ionic, low osmotic contrast medium, was given intravenously to 20 patients in the examination of brain computed tomography. Scanning was started after 50 ml was administered via drip infusion over several minutes and then 9 slices of brain section was obtained with continuous drip infusion of the rest of contrast medium. The study was conducted to evaluate contrast enhancement capability, side effects, effects on the hepatic, renal and hematological laboratory data. Satisfactory results are obtained in these regards.
