The state of and trends in development of physico-chemical methods for production of nuclear fuel microspheres
Description
The present state of the art in microspheric nuclear fuel production has been considered. On the basis of the existing classifications the preparation methods of microspherical particles are generalized, their advantages and drawbacks are assessed. The method of the internal gel formation, devoid of disadvantages common to other methods, is found. to be promising. It is shown, that solution of the problems, related to productivity and remote control of technological process, will enable to create closed fuel cycles using spent nuclear fuel with the aid of physicochemical processes, zol-gel process, in particular
