Description
Superconducting single crystals of La2-xSrxCuO4-δ (x=0.15 and 0.20) were studied by means of the vector magnetization technique. The effective mass anisotropy factors are estimated to be Γ=100 and Γ=2, respectively, for the two samples. A procedure is proposed to obtain the thermodynamic orientation of the flux line lattice from the irreversible magnetization. Direct evidence is reported of vortex penetration along the eas y plane. The data agree with numerical results for a three-dimensional anisotropic superconductor. (orig.)
