AP-002M analog processor for ionizing radiation spectrometers with semiconductor detector

Description

A fast-responce unit of complex analog processing of spectrometric pulses from gamma and X-ray semiconductor detectors is described. Analog processor (AP) AP-002M contains: a linear amplifier with galvanic-connected amplification sections; spectrometric time-variant shaper involving delay line differentiator, time-variant initial level stabilizer and strobing ''ideal'' integrator; overload pulse rejector; superposed pulse rejector; expander-threshold device; sretcher; AP indication state auxiliary devices. The gain varies in the range 16-1024, shaping time is 2-12 μs. Maximal statistic loading at AP-002M input attains 105s-1 for all shaping times. Analog processor output loading is approximately three times as much that for optimized with respect to noise Gaussian amplifier with superposition rejector. The peak gravity centre shift Ex=5.9 keV is not over 0.15%
