Effects of water on Eu2+, Yb2+, and Es2+ cocrystallization in the Sr(Sm)SO4-ethanol system

Description
Measurements have been made on the effects of water on the cocrystallization of divalent europium, ytterbium, and einsteinium in the Sr(Sm)SO4-ethanol system. Water levels from 3 to 6 M affect the Eu2+ and Yb2+ cocrystallization coefficients, while above 6 M, they do not alter. With divalent einsteinium, there are changes in the coefficient up to [H2O] = 10 M. The effects of the water concentration on the solubility have been examined for the sulfates of these three elements
