Monte Carlo and mean link analysis of the SU(2)xSU(2) chiral model in two dimensions with mixed action

Description
We analyze the SU(2)xSU(2) chiral model in two dimensions with fundamental-adjoint action. Using Monte Carlo simulations and mean link techniques we show that the model behaves like the mixed SU(2) lattice gauge theory in four dimensions but with phase transitions of second order. (orig.)
