Statistical correlation of the polarization and cross-section in nuclear reactions
Description
The polarization and cross-section fluctuations in nuclear reactions of the type 1/2+0 → 0+1/2 in the presence of direct processes are examined. It is shown that there is a statistical correlation between the polarization and the cross section. This effect is confirmed by experimental data on elastic scattering of polarized protons by 28Si
