Apparatus for the control of evaporation from radioactive liquid pools
Description
An apparatus is described for the prevention of evaporation from a radioactive liquid pool comprising a plurality of floatable objects for floating on the surface of the liquid pool in such numbers to cause the floatable objects to exhibit close packing whereby the free surface of the pool is essentially completely eliminated. Each of the objects has six sides which together define a regular hexagon. The objects float on the liquid with the six sides of the regular hexagon approximately normal to the surface of the liquid.
