TFTR diagnostics grounding
Description
The TFTR (Tokamak Fusion Test Reactor) now under construction at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL) is scheduled to begin tune-up in 1982 with neutral beam systems operational in 1983. TFTR diagnostic systems are distributed throughout the space surrounding the Tokamak (Test Cell), and under the Tokamak in the Test Cell Basement. Both diagnostics equipment and the cable runs are subject to electromagnetic interference (EMI) from the Tokamak, high power ancillary systems, and from diagnostic-to-diagnostic crosstalk
