A geometric model for ternary fission
Description
A two-parameter family of shapes is defined to describe longitudinal ternary fission. This shape sequence covers continuously the whole deformation range from the sphere to three tangential spherical fragments. The radius of the central fragment is different from that of the two equal opposite fragments. Analytical formulae are given for the various dynamical parameters of the system. (author)
