Investigating dry zircon crushing aimed at producing compact and highly compact items

Description
Powdered zirconium concentrate containing up to 1% by wt. of TiO2, which has been obtained by dry grinding (70-80% of fractions < 10 micron), can be used for making high-density refractory materials; concentrations of (<=) 50-60% give dense refractories. The grinding periods have been determined for various types of mills (ball, vibrational) for making powders of the above-mentioned degree of dispersion. Electrohydraulic hammering for grinding zirconium silicate has been found to be unpromising
