Comparative study of momentum and rapidity spectra of pions produced in hadron-nucleon and hadron-nucleus collisions
Description
A study of momentum and rapidity spectra of fast pions produced in π-nucleon and π-nucleus collisions at 50 GeV/c indicates no significant difference between the two reactions, which reflects the fact that the mechanism whereby the particles are generated is the same in both cases. No intranuclear cascading is indicated in hadron-nucleus interactions
