Iodates and periodates of rare earths
Description
Data on the composition, solubility, synthesis conditions, structure and thermal stability of rare earth iodates and periodates are generalized. It is shown, that the compounds have been insufficiently studied due to similar conditions of formation of phases with different composition and, consequently, due to the difficulties in preparation of monophase preparations. The iodates and periodates considered in their properties are closer to the corresponding tellurium compounds, than to chlorine- and rhenium ones
