Study on human factors related to BWR plant safety

Description

This summary presents the results of a study on human errors in simulated nuclear power plant operation. It has been recognized that the data on human factors during plant emergency situations are scarce despite their importance in assessing the operational safety of a nuclear power plant. The objectives of this study are to collect and analyze human factors data on nuclear power plant operation and to evaluate the human factors effects on probabilistic safety analysis. In this context, data on operator performance during reactor transients and accident conditions were collected using training simulators and analyzed to estimate human error probabilities.
