Description

A study is reported on the magnitudes of the local electric-field gradient contributions eqsub(ce) due to conduction electrons at sp-valent impurities in six sp-band non-cubic metals. Available data show a strong correlation of eqsub(ce) with the valence of the probe ion and show little dependence on impurity size. (Auth.)
