Diffusion and heat transfer of carbon in polycrystalline lanthanum

Free diffusion and heat fransfer of carbon in polycrystalline #betta#-lanthanum are investigated in the temperature range of 400 to 800 deg C. The annealing was carried out in inert gas environment. Parameters of free diffusion are obtained. The sign of heat transfer of carbon in lanthanum is determined. Interrelation between a preexponential factor and activation energy of impurity diffusion in #betta#-lanthanum is considered
