Periodic system of nuclei and systematics of half-life periods of transuranium nuclides

Description

The problem of the systematics of nuclear isotopes is descussed with the aim of revealing regularities in teir properties and predicting the properties of yet unknown isotopes. The systematics is based on the shell structure of nuclei. The heterohelion structure of atomic nuclei is constructed. ''Heterohelions'' of the type α4 (2He24) and α6 (2He26), which corresponds to the nucleon configurations of 2p2n and 2p4n, are used. To illustrate the utilization of the periodic system of atomic nuclei under discussion, the mass M of a nucleus of a β-stable isotope is determined. The systematics of half-lives of transuranic elements is also discussed in relation to the isotopic number β, the number of neutrons N, or the atomic number Z
