Implantation of 125I in prostatic cancer

Description
A technique of interstitial irradiation of the prostate using a 125I γ source is described. Preliminary results with this treatment are reported and some apparent advantages and disadvantages of the method are discussed. This technique has been utilized only in selected patients with carcinoma of the prostate and a controlled study of comparable patients treated by alternative methods has not been carried out
