Radioactive tracer studies on ferroalloy solubility and distribution

Description

The solubility and distribution of ferroalloys were investigated using the radioactive tracer method in alloying steels in the process of melting. The method proved to be applicable to determine the maximum time period for dissolving and homogeneous distribution of ferroalloys. The results obtained make it possible to calculate the moments for sampling and pouring as well as to diminish the number of alloying processes and duration of melting
