The uranium industry in Argentina
Description
Looking for independence in fuel supply, Argentina in the onset of nuclear power programme chosen natural uranium as fuel and heavy water as moderator for its nuclear power reactors. Natural uranium as dioxide is the basic material use for the fabrication of Nuclear Power Stations fuel. Fabrication is carry out in three stages. This paper summarizes the front of the nuclear fuel cycle in Argentina. (author)
