Influence of nature of support on properties of technetium catalysts
- 1. Institute of Physical Chemistry, Acad. of Sci., Moscow
Description
This paper studies the nature of the interaction between supported Tc and the supports gamma-A12O3m SiO2, MgO, ZrO2, TiO2, Y2O3, Nd2O3, Er2O3, Yb2O3, Pr4O7, carbon, and BaSO4 in the dehydrogenation of isopropanol and cyclohexane. The state of TC on the surface was studied by means of optical spectroscopy in the UV and visible regions (diffuse reflection spectra), temperature-programmed reduction and IR spectroscopy of adsorbed CO. The examination shows that in the most active catalysts, an ionic species of technetium is preserved along with metallic technetium; this ionic species has a modifying effect on the processes of alcohol and cyclohexane dehydrogenation
