Direct numerical experiments for neutron detection using superconductor MgB2
Description
We examine a proposal about neutron detection using MgB2 superconductor. For the purpose, we perform computer simulations for the time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau equation coupled with the temperature diffusion equation derived from the energy conservation law and simulate dynamics of 'hot-spot' nucleated by neutron absorption in superconductor MgB2. The simulations reveal basic principles required for the neutron detection
