The mechanism of the lymphoid response of bone marrow in the course of hemopoiesis repair in irradiated rats

  • 1. Tomskij Meditsinskij Inst. (USSR)

Description

In experiments on irradiated (600 rad) rats, it was demonstrated that the percentage of lymphoid elements in the bone marrow increases at the period of hemopoiesis regeneration (10 th - 15 th day). That proliferation and lymphocyte maturing occur at that period is indicated by: dynamics of morphological changes: cytometric data; results of studies of proliferation potency, ability of incorporating 3H-thymidine and hydrolytic enzyme content of lymphoid cells of bone marrow, thymus, spleen and lymph nodes; and the experiments on thym- and splenectomized animals
