Quantization of gauge theory
Description
A method of quantizing the Yang-Mills theory, with an arbitrary semi-simple compact gauge group, is discussed. This method focuses on the particle content of the theory, and requires a knowledge of the solutions to the constraint equations in the theory. The solution to Gauss' law constraint, valid for any value of the coupling constant, is given. This means that the true dynamical variables in the theory are identified. (author)
