1. Annual report from the national occupational radiation dose registry of the BfS, covering the monitoring year 1998
Description
The annual report published for the first time summarizes information drawn from the German national occupational radiation dose registry (Strahlenschutzregister), which is an official register kept in compliance with German atomic energy law by the BfS, the German Radiation Protection Office. The report serves the following purposes: 1. Present a survey of reported measured data compiled in the register; 2. Give a detailed annual report to the responsible German Ministry, the BMU, and the German Bundestag, revealing the present situation with occupational radiation exposure; 3. Give an account of current national occupational radiation dose monitoring activities, along with a brief history of development of policy and activities, and a status report also giving some insight into administrative aspects. Der vorliegende 1. Jahresbericht des Strahlenschutzregisters hat die folgenden Ziele: 1. Einen Ueberblick ueber die im Strahlenschutzregister bislang zusammengefuehrten Daten zu geben; 2. eine ausfuehrliche jaehrliche Berichterstattung des BfS ueber die berufliche Strahlenexposition fuer das BMU und den Bundestag; 3. die Darstellung der zentralen Ueberwachung beruflicher Strahlenexposition mit ihrer historischen Entwicklung und der kritischen Statusbeschreibung mit einem Einblick in die Funktionszusammenhaenge des administrativen Strahlenschutzes fuer Arbeitskraefte.
