Radiochemical investigation of processes responsible for ion sensitivity of cadmium-selective electrodes on the basis of chalcogenide glass

Using 115mCd radioactive isotope the exchange of cadmium ions between solution and cadmium-containing chalcogenide glass of cadmium iodide - silver sulfide - arsenic sulfide system, used as a membrane of ion-selective electrodes, is studied. It is shown that the exchange of cadmium ions obeys the same regularities both in the case of labelled glass and in the case of solution, containing radioactive cadmium nitrate.
