Reactions of vanadocene with certain germanium derivatives

Description
The reactivity of the Ge-H, Ge-Pt-H, Ge-Br, Ge-Bi, Ge-Hg-Pt-Ge bonds in redox reactions with vanadocene (Cp2V) is investigated. It is established that Cp2V easily reacts in toluene with many organic germanium derivatives while displacing hydrogen, halogen, mercury and bismuth. Cp2V is shown nert in relation to platinumcontaining germanium complexes
