The application of Klein-Elsler method in 3H and 125I dual isotope liquid scintillation counting

  • 1. Chongqing Medical Coll., SC (China)

Description

It is difficult to use 3H and 125I in dual isotope LS counting because their pulse height spectra are overlapped. According to Klein-Elsler method, the degree of separation between two isotope spectra can be enhanced by selecting the discriminator setting for each channel. The concentrations of 3H and 125I can be calculated from the total activity appearing in each channel and from the ratio of counts in the two channels for each isotope when they are present in pure form. This method can be easily used in 3H and 125I double labelling study
