Investigation of the 19Na nucleus via resonance elastic scattering

Description
The structure of the unbound proton-rich isotope 19Na was studied in resonance elastic scattering of a radioactive 18Ne beam on a proton target. The experiment covered excitation energy range from 0.5 to 2.7 MeV in c.m.s. Only one state of 19Na (the second excited state) was observed. The spin and parity assignment of this second excited state was confirmed to be 1/2+. It is shown that the position of the 1/2+ state significantly affects the reaction rate through that state but the total reaction rate remains unchanged

Структура несвязанного протонно-избыточного ядра 19Na изучена в упругом резонансном рассеянии радиоактивного пучка 18Ne на протонной мишени. Изучена область возбуждения от 0.5 до 2.7 МэВ в системе центра масс. Только одно, второе, возбужденное состояние в 19Na было обнаружено. Спин-четность этого состояния была подтверждена: 1/2+. Показано, что положение 1/2+-состояния существенно влияет на скорость прохождения реакции через это состояние. Однако полная скорость этой реакции заметно не меняетсяAdditional details
