Evaluation study on construction cost of FBR cycle system

Description
Although FBR cycle system is thought indispensable to sustainable utilization of nuclear energy, perspective on its economic has been highly concerned. Breakdowns of power generation cost of nuclear energy system (capitalized cost, operating cost and fuel cost) and their evaluation method are introduced and its application examples and measures improving economics are followed. Power generation cost is much dependable on reprocessing and fuel fabrication unit cost and fuel burn-up and thermal efficiency as well as FBR plant construction cost. (T. Tanaka)
