Description

From measurements of the zigzag structure and wall thickness of iron single crystals by neutron small-angle scattering, the question arises, what results would one obtain for nickel especially at low temperatures. In this paper the authors applied the methods used for iron, to the <100>-1090 walls in nickel single crystals. The wall orientations and their connection with the mosaic spread are obtained and the possibility for obtaining a well separated refracted beam is seen. These results show the conditions for the realization of wall thickness measurements in Ni: crystals of good quality and large neutron wavelengths. (Auth.)
