Uncontrolled losses in activity concentration measurements of reference standard solutions

Description
One of the most widely used methods for determining the activity concentration of solutions consists in taking an aliquot converting the radionuclide into the solid or gaseous state and measuring its activity with subsequent measurement of the activity concentration of the initial solution. The error calculation is explained on the basis of the Fischer criterion and demonstrated with the aid of measurements of the activity concentration of aqueous carbonate solutions. (author)
