Integration of Regulatory Authorities and Information Management to spread a culture of nuclear safety

Description

The main roles played by Knowledge Management are summarized by an integration between regulatory bodies and spreading safety culture to promote successful management systems, as well as planning for information management to develop a clear integrated approach to safety. In addition to support continuous development to achieve a sound management for all nuclear activities. Here comes the very important role of regulatory bodies in taking advantage of previous nuclear and radiological accidents and linking them with knowledge management centers to obtain the necessity of spreading a culture of security awareness for all nuclear activities and industries. So, one of the International Atomic Energy Agency priorities since 2020 is to assist member states in enhancing the effectiveness of regulatory authorities in this regard through international conferences, advisory missions and knowledge networks to help countries to develop their expertise and spread nuclear cultural awareness.
