Description

A zirconium base alloy containing iron 0.1 to 0.35, vanadium 0.1 to 0.4, oxygen 0.05 to 0.3, Sn < 0.25 and Nb < 0.25 is claimed. The fabrication process is also claimed for structural materials or fuel can for PWR or BWR reactors with increased life. Composite tubes coated with this alloy are also claimed

Abstract (French)

L'invention a pour objet un alliage a base de Zr de composition (% en masse): Fe 0,1 a 0,35 - V 0,1 a 0,4 - O 0,05 a 0,3 - Sn < a 0,25 - Nb < a 0,25. L'invention a pour deuxieme objet le procede de fabrication de ces produits qui ont, sous forme d'elements de structure ou de gainage des reacteurs nucleaires a eau pressurisee ou a eau bouillante, une duree de vie fortement augmentee. Et elle concerne aussi les tubes composites comportant un revetement exterieur en cet alliage
