Measurement of titanium and manganese K-shell ionization cross sections by electron impact

  • 1. Sichuan Univ., Chengdu (China). Inst. of Nuclear Science and Technology

Description

The experimental measurement of Ti and Mn K-shell ionization cross sections was reported. The thin targets with thick substrate were used in the experiment. The influence of the reflected electrons from the substrate on the measurements has been corrected by means of a detailed calculation of electron transport. It is shown that the corrected K-shell ionization cross sections of Ti and Mn are in good agreement with existing experimental data. For Ti and Mn, the measured results (uncorrected and corrected) have compared with the empirical formula given by Casnati et al as well
