A history of discovery and study of the Galley comet is presented in a popular form. The Galley comet main characteristics are also presented. The ice model of comets and comet connection with meteor showers are described. Mutual arrangement of the Earth and the Galley comet is presented along with the observation conditions of this comet during its next approach to the Sun in 1985-1986
