Description
A determination method of uranium in the presence of ferron by adsorptive stripping voltametry is proposed. The adsorption of ferron uranium complexes on a hanging mercury drop electrode in natural media was studied. The composition of ferron uranium complexes was determined as well as the kinetics and adsorption parameters. In a 0.1 mole KNO3 solution (pH=7.00 and borax buffer) the current-uranium concentration dependence in the presence of ferron is linear within the interval of 1.2x10-8-3.8x10-7 mole/liter after an accumulation period of 60 sec. This method was applied to establish the uranium concentration in effluents resulting from nuclear technologies. (authors)
